Andrew May

Who is that sexy beast?

I am an ASHEVILLE ELOPEMENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER specializing in unique experiences on mountainsides, by waterfalls, and in nature's playground. I am a dad. My main gig is taking care of my two little girls that I love to bits when they aren't driving me crazy. I like my bacon flaccid, the softer the better. You can't be cooking all the flavor out, son. I am a husband. Marriage is hard and very rewarding. Having a family of 4, it is so important to take time for just my wife and I. I also host the incredible podcast Story & Growth, a podcast about personal and relational growth and discovering your highest self.

Coffee is my drink of choice (roughly 2 cups a day), and I also enjoy hiking, podcasts, longboarding, working out, craft beer, taekwondo, going for walks, and hanging with family.

Who's that lady?

Katie May is an amazing palliative care nurse. Through her own vulnerability, she inspires others to own their life through self-compassion and whole health living. She is a self proclaimed lover of life, and believer in grace who adores coffee, human connection, and adventuring into the unknown. Her encouraging approach to health and well-being will guide you in sparking change in your own journey to an exceptional life. She is the co-host of the podcast Story & Growth, and yes, she is a bad bitch.

It poured on our wedding day. We could not have been happier with our Asheville wedding photographer Andrew May of Allegory & Elm. He poured his heart and soul into making sure our wedding experience was super memorable. The photos turned out incredible. Andrew had the entire wedding party cracking up. He even busted out some pretty sick moves on the dance floor. We cannot imagine our wedding day without having Andrew there to capture it the way he did. Andrew put everyone before himself and we are forever grateful for the images he was able to capture. Hire him now!!

Andrew was our Asheville wedding photographer for our wedding at High Hampton Inn. We were completely blown away by his professionalism & artistry. He was able to capture so many amazing shots of us & the beauty of nature around us that we're so in love with. The entire gallery from our wedding day was full of everything we could've hoped & dreamed for. It portrayed the overall feel of the wedding, & of the individual emotions of everyone involved. I would recommend Andrew over & over again to anyone looking for a photographer to capture any of their special times.

Andrew captured all of the moments and details big and small of our wedding. My husband and I had a back yard wedding in his hometown Asheville, North Carolina, where we live. While it was quaint, we still had a guest list of around 250 people. Our photographer captured the details we worked so hard on, including the big moments and guest interactions. Andrew is calm, cool, and hilarious. He felt like a friend the entire time. Hire him, let him do his thing, then sit back and relive your wedding day over and over! Thanks for everything Andrew May!
