We have been anxious to find out whether Afton is going to have a little baby brother or a little baby sister. Well the wait is finally over, and we have definitive confirmation. So Afton has been dead set on having a little sister. Every time we brought it up, when we would talk about the baby in mommy’s belly, she would say, “baby sister.” We had to warm her up to the idea that it might be a little brother. Let me preface this with saying that Afton loves ice cream, just like every other 3 year old kiddo. So we decided to do something different for our gender reveal. We had the ultrasound-tech put the gender ultrasound in an envelope, which we took over to Coldstone Creamery. It was imperative that the place we chose had both blue and pink ice cream as Katie and I did not yet know the gender either (blue for boy, pink for girl). We gave the workers at Coldstone the envelope, paid, and left. We then returned and they had scooped the ice cream into a cone and placed a cup on the top of the cone so we could not yet see if it was blue or pink. Katie had to explain to the staff a couple of times what was going on and they were super excited to be a part of this. So, without further ado…
IT’S A GIRL!!!!!! AFTON IS HAVING THE BABY SISTER SHE HAS BEEN CLAMORING FOR THESE PAST 2 MONTHS. THANK GOD. I would have loved having a boy, I just don’t know that I would want to deal with the wrath of Afton. We are super pumped and thankful to have such wonderful family and friends who support us.
